I think the sides are a little plain but i didnt want to add anything that would make the light overkill. But i beleive there is a way to still add a little bit without it being too much. I still need to figure out a way to keep the top on.
I agree about the sides. Have you tried a folded design or even repeating the weaving on the sides. I can't judge the size by the photo, but you could group several of your structures, maybe three or four, to make a cluster of lights that sit along a tabletop. It makes a simple design more interesting. See Bethany's blog; she has a good example.
